Indian Navy UES Entry 2019: Indian Navy has released the University Entry Scheme (UES) notification in which they are inviting interested candidates for entry as Short Service Commission (SSC) officers in Executive and Technical Branches of the Indian Navy under University Entry Scheme (UES) and Permanent Commission (PC) officers in Executive (GS) Branch, for course commencing June 2019. Candidates who fulfill all the criteria of eligibility can start applying. The application process has already begun on 30th June 2018. Students are supposed to fill their application form before the application process ends i.e on 30th July 2018.

Indian Navy UES Entry 2019 Eligibility Criteria

Age Limit

All the interested candidates must have born between 02 July 1995 and 01 July 1998 inclusively.

Educational Qualification:-

  • Applicant should be in the final year of regular BE/B. Tech or integrated degree course with at least 60% aggregate marks till pre final year.
  • Candidates will be contacted through call up for Service Selection Board (SSB) interview based on how they perform during campus interviews.
  • Candidates with any pending backlog will not be allowed to appear for SSB interview.
  • Any other equivalent stream of (BE/B Tech) apart from all those mentioned below will be considered invalid for the selection process at any stage.
  • It is compulsory for all the candidates to have the minimum of 60% marks in overall aggregate at the completion of regular BE/B.Tech or the integrated course .

Details about Service Selection Board (SSB)

There are certain tests included in both the stages Stage I and Stage II.

Stage I Tests

  • Officer Intelligence Rating(OIR) Test
  • Picture Perception and Discussion test (PPDT) will be conducted on the first day.
  • The candidate who fails to qualify in Stage I will be routed back home on the same day.

Stage II Tests

  • Psychological testing.
  • Group Task Group Discussion and Personal Interview.
  • The duration of SSB will be of 5 days and selected candidates will thereafter go for Special Medical Examination at the military hospital.
  • No compensation will be paid in case of any injury sustained as a result of tests.

Selection Procedure of Indian Navy University Entry Scheme 2018-19

  • All the eligible candidates will have to appear for an interview before a Naval Campus Selection Team.
  • Candidates will be contacted through call up for Service Selection Board (SSB) interview based on how they perform during campus interviews.
  • At the time of campus interview, candidates who are shortlisted will be called for SSB interview at these locations: Bangalore/Bhopal/Coimbatore/Visakhapatnam/Kolkata.
  • Candidates with any pending backlog will be prohibited from appearing for SSB interview.
  • Candidates will be shortlisted for SSB based as per their first preference.
  • The subsequent stage of the selection process (SSB, Medical & Meriting) will be exclusive for the candidates who are shortlisted for a Branch/Cadre,
  • In case of the excess number of candidates,  further shortlisting will be done based on percentage scored up to 5th semester in BE/B. Tech.
  • Request of Changing the SSB center will not be entertained
  • Return First Class (AC III Tier/AC Chair Car) rail fare is admissible for the SSB interview if appearing for the first time for this Commission on the production of railway ticket.
  • Candidates recommended by the SSBs and are considered medically fit will be appointed for training period depending on All India Merit based on the number of vacancies.
